Earlier today it was revealed that Quinton Jackson had signed an inclusive deal with Bellator, TNA, & Spike TV that will see him compete in mixed martial arts, pro wrestling, and take part in a reality series. Jackson made his first statement about the deal exclusively to TMZ:

Rampage tells TMZ, "When you look at my deal in the UFC, and the scope of what my deal with Bellator and TNA is, this is a dream come true."

He adds, "When other fighters get the chance to see everything I'm able to do with this deal and the benefits it provides, you're going to see a big change in MMA. I guarantee it."

I'm shocked. I was totally expecting him to immediatly state how he misses the UFC and wishes he was still with them. /sarcasm

I hope he finishes his career happy. Phone Post

Bellator to begin ppv at once. Phone Post

So is Bellator only going to be signing former UFC fighters that have burned their bridge and can't go back? Phone Post

GOOD FOR RAMPAGE! UFC is extremely oppressive.

The fighters are contractors when it benefits the UFC but yet they are treated like the most restricted employees. They don't even have the freedom to tweet their own thoughts in their off time. They have to sign away their likeness forever.. They can't participate in extra curricular activities. Their sponsors have to pay UFC. etc

It's absolutely ridiculous.

When you are under contract you are never "off" from being part of that company. Just like Tom Brady can get fined or released if he does something dumb during the summer. Phone Post

Rampage may not be such a meathead after all, eh? This sounds like a great deal with lots of exposure for Rampage. Great springboard for his second career after fighting. I hope he gets all he wants, and other fighters see that they too can succeed vertically. Phone Post

they are probably going to sign former UFC fighters they think they can make money off of.

then again what do I know...

"You're gonna see a big change in MMA."

Tom Brady will not be let go at any time that the NFL wishes like the UFC can do to its fighters. Tom Brady is an employee. Not a contractor like UFC fighters.

world of difference.

Players can be cut at any time as long as they are not injured (I believe, if the players on the injured list the team has to wait till the end of the year to cut him). If they are involved in conduct detrimental to the team or the league they can be released and even sued to recoup their signing bonus. Not that big of a difference. Phone Post

This is a good deal for a guy in Rampage's situation.

But sadly, that's only because he's passed his prime.

If he was able to still beat the top fighters in the world, then there's no question. The UFC would allow him to make more money.

The money in the UFC is in PPV.

Unfortunately for Rampage, to get a share of it, you have to actually win your fights.

This is coming from a Rampage fan...

But let's not act like he went on some tear and chose Bellator over million-dollar UFC paydays.

He chose Bellator because he's no longer dedicated enough to battle it out for the BIG paydays.

And now he gets to be the well-paid big fish in a small pond.

Eddie Alvarez says being sued by Bellator, opens up on discontent

I predict more crying and whining.

It's good to see that Rampage has moved on, the UFC and the fans didn't appreciate him anymore he deserves better

Making Rampage vs King Mo so they can keep Eddie and do the Chandler rematch on ppv? Phone Post 3.0

rampage said pride and ufc mistreated him

how long before he says bellator did?

Grey eagle '88 -

Fucking shills and their multiple SN's are out today!! Bunch of faggits!!

Good for rampage Phone Post

The idea that everyone that makes comments about another org or a fighter that signs with another org other than the ufc is a shill and has multiple screen names is old and played out. How about you just come to realize that most people these days realize that Rampage is a bit of a man child and that Bellator isnt the pure and innocent org that most were lead to believe they were.

Good for Rampage for signing a contract that he currently believes to be good and allows him to do the things he wants but that doesnt excuse him from acting like a child throughout his UFC career, nor does it make Bellator look too great after saying they wouldnt be signing fighters who leave the UFC and that they would be growing their own stable of fighters.

Actually, any player in the NFL can be cut/released anytime; though the chances of NE ever releasing Brady is unlikely (but they do have the option) Phone Post 3.0
