Dana has nothing to be mad at Randy for. He didn’t do enough to keep him. What Dana believes is enough and what Randy believes are two different things. A deal somewhere along the way could have been made to make randy happen and it wasn’t done. Dana only has himself to blame.
If my employee comes up to me deserving of a raise and then I say no, only for him to get a new job, who’s fault is that?
