The rankings officially mean nothing to me now.
Fighters ranked lower than people they beat is the dumbest shit ever.
Judges should thank these cheetoh fingered journalists for taking some of the heat off how stupid they look.

Uhhh, just because you beat someone doesn't necessarily mean you move up higher in ranking than them, fellows. Allow me to explain with an example. Let's say Fighter A (ranked number 4 with FOUR wins over top 10 guys) gets KO'd by Fighter B (ranked number 8 with ONE win over a top ten guy and has lost to top ten opponents Fighter A beat). Do you really think Fighter B ranks above Fighter A suddenly?

I don't get this logic. If Cowboy was on an 8 fight win streak and ranked 3 and lost to someone say ranked 8, but that fighter was 2 and 3 over last 5 fights, shouldn't Cowboy still be ranked higher?
I look at it more like NFL power rankings. If my redskins had beat the patriots, it doesn't mean they are the better team. While they would move up the list, they wouldn't get ranked higher than the Pats.
I remember back when some people on this board were crying every week that the UFC didn't have rankings and wouldn't be a real sport till it did. I predicted this is exactly how it would go.

Yes! What they've done previously is irrelevant. Fighter B is the higher ranked fighter now because he beat fighter A, that does not necessarily mean he is the better fighter.
If someone comes in with zero fights and beats the champ, they still become the champ despite, by your logic, being ranked underneith them.

Kostakio -Yes in most scenarios I do. A belongs below B after getting his/her ass handed to them by B. That doesn't mean B has to move up above all others, A can drop in rank as well. There are exceptions, this isn't the time for those.
