Each week the UFC polls various members of the media to update its rankings in each weight division as well as the pound for pound rankings.

With no event this past weekend, there were no major shifts in divisional rankings. The only thing of note is that TJ Grant has been dropped having been inactive for almost a year.
1 Gilbert Melendez
2 Benson Henderson
3 Josh Thomson +1
4 Khabib Nurmagomedov +1
5 Nate Diaz +1
6 Donald Cerrone +1
7 Rafael dos Anjos +1
8 Jim Miller +1
9 Gray Maynard +1
10 Myles Jury +1
11 Michael Johnson +1
12 Edson Barboza +1
13 Bobby Green +1
14 Rustam Khabilov +1
15 Jorge Masvidal *NR
No consistency at all. Cruz was a dominate athlete in the division but should have been removed from the rankings long ago. If you're inactive for a year, you don't need to be ranked. Only once you fight again should you be considered to be eligible to be ranked.

But Cruz was the champ thats probably why he was kept on.
Now that he has vacated his belt if he goes a year without fighting he will likely be taken off the list.
Lil Nog has been out over a year and isnt ranked. So the Cruz situation was def because of him being the champ.
