After each event, the UFC polls various members of the media to update its rankings in each weight division as well as the pound for pound rankings.

This past weekend's UFC Fight Night Dublin only featured a few meaningful bouts rankings-wise, of most note is Conor McGregor moving to tenth in the division.
McGregor had previously been ranked twelfth and is now considered a top ten featherweight after his first round win over unranked Diego Brandao.
Champion : Jose Aldo
1 Chad Mendes
2 Frankie Edgar
3 Cub Swanson
4 Ricardo Lamas
5 Chan Sung Jung
6 Dustin Poirier
7 Clay Guida
8 Nik Lentz +1
9 Dennis Siver -1
10 Conor McGregor +2
11 Jeremy Stephens -1
12 Dennis Bermudez -1
13 Darren Elkins
14 Charles Oliveira
15 Tatsuya Kawajiri
He is 3 - 0 in the UFC and based on his last outing could quite possibly handle Stephens and Bermudez (who he has stepped over) with no bother. He disposed of Brandao in 1 round and in devastating fashion.
Looking at who is in the top 10 i see him taking out 5 of them immediately based on what ive seen so far.
And this is coming from someone who gives no fucks about McGregor, dont care for the hype and am being completely objective. You guys need to get some better bikinis cos you're clearly getting ALL THE SAND in your vaginas over such a small issue.
When you beat people YOU MOVE UP IN THE RANKINGS. Who woulda thought it!
Promoters need to understand that you cannot manufacturer / force feed super stars to people in this manner. It rubs the fans the wrong way, as they can see past the smoke and mirrors. The UFC will turn McGregor into another Rousey if they are not careful (hated by many), which would be a shame as he's a talented fighter and has charisma. Objectively we all know he ain't top 10 as he hasn't beaten a top 15 fighter so why not just keep him fighting and let him build a following for himself?
Why all the crying? Would you rather Stephens be at #10? Explain how? 3-1 at 145...lost his last fight. The two guys he beat before Cub are nobodies in regards to rankings. Then one good one against elkins. McGregor came in and beat a guy the was 3-0 at 145 against good, solid up and comers such as Hettes and Maximo. Then he beat the man that got robbed against Bermudez in Halloway, who imo has more of a claim at top 15 relevance than Stepehns does, given the fights they have had. Then McGregor beats a TUF winner who gave a top 5 Poirier a solid fight and dropped him.
McGregor dominated all his opponents and hasnt lost yet in the UFC. Its justifiable imo

Posters need to understand the UFC doesn't make the rankings.
