As they do after each event, the UFC released updated rankings after a select group of media members ranked fighters in every division.

3 Donald Cerrone
4 Gilbert Melendez
5 Benson Henderson
6 Michael Johnson +6

Johnson was previously ranked twelfth and squared off with number sixth ranked Edson Barboza. Barboza was a favorite heading into the fight, but Johnson put on a dominate performance and the with the win took Barboza's sixth ranking. Barboza dropped to eighth with the loss.
Lol at rankings, remember when Diaz was removed for "inactivity" after less than six months, yet khabib who hasn't fought since 4/2014 is still ranked #2. Sure.
Well he has one win in the last two and a half years and that was against someone unranked. That being said I'd pick him over a few of the guys above him.

Seems like a bit of a difference between someone injured vs someone who was actively turning down fights and telling people he wasn't going to fight.

DFW said it was inactivity, so? Consistency, there is none, which is why MMA is still a niche "sport".
