It may not seem like it, but IMNO, Rashad has the better timing of these two explosive athletes. The reason Jones seem better with timing is more attributed to his reach.
Jones is like the fisherman with a gun and a barrel of fish with a 90% rate of success.
Rashad is the Zen master, blind fisherman who fishes in the big lakes and mighty rivers and while he strikes out sometimes, is the better fisherman with a 70% success rate.
Against Rashad, Jones' reach will work against himself, and his biggest asset will be his biggest let down.
Similar to a no man's land, winter raised huskey winning races time and time again against the most winningest greyhound champion, who appears as a clumsy calf whilst racing across a frozen lake.
Jones is entering an unwinnable shellacking against the older Zen master Rashad who was realizing the nuances of the Octagon back when Jones was reading twilight novels, having sleepovers, and playing Halo 2 with his 8th grade buddies.
Watch and see.
Rashad will be the first 2nd time UFC Light Heavyweight Champ since Tito. A thing that has not happened at 205 in over 1 decade!!!!
I've got suga winning by ko
Dude you done this befor the Bader, Shogun, Rampage & Machida fights with Jones. You write up all this shit about how they are better than Jones, when they lose you disappear until the next challenger...
Well Lyoto has better timing than Rashad and Jones finished Lyoto. So I'd say you're wrong.
Don't believe me? I'll be vindicated when Jones beats Rashad.
Interesting observation.
Good thread.

I am not kidding here. Regardless of what I may or may not have expected in the past from Jones, I knew very well he'd beat Bader, Shogun, Rampage, and likely beat Machida too.
Not the case with Rashad. I try my hardest to search my subconscious for any inkling of a Jones victory on Rashad, but it just isn't there!
I tell you the truth, Rashad will not only be victorious, but will end Jones' reign before the end of round horn sounds 3 times!

So in your universe, the guy who catches the most fish is the worse fisherman? Tell me more of this magical land.
I actually agree, Rashad does have better timing. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to overcome Jones physical gifts.
ttt for poopytface, will bump more of these threads

Rashad actually landed some decent strikes but the reach advantage is huge and it allows Jones to land more even if he's going against a fighter who is more skilled standing up.
