Rashad will DESTROY Jones

Rashad is a good wrestler but not in the same sentence as Jones and many others. St. Pierre takes him down at will while being 2 weight classes below Evans. Your comments suggest that you have a high school JV wrestling background at best.

MontyG -  Rashad is the better boxer/wrestler compared to Rampage and has waaaaay better cardio. I think tonight showed how vincible Bones really is.

Is that a fact? What fight were you watching tonight? Amazing how blinding a force hate is. Bones absolutely toyed with Rampage. Think about that. We are talking about Rampage Jackson, and he looked completely outclassed. Jones was easily able to do whatever he wanted to. In 4 rounds Page hardly laid a finger on Jones. On the other hand, Evans was fortunate to take a decision from Page. You think Rashad will out wrestle Jon? Jones will own him on the ground. No way will Rashad will be able to maintain position, if he can even get it in the first place. Jones wrestling is very powerful, and I have no doubt he will be the one doing the taking down, and when that happens it will quickly be over for Rashad. Because of his Greco style, he can get a takedown from any position. And Evans chin is not going to stand up to Jones' strikes, elbows, and kicks. No way Evans out point Jones, and there is no reason to think Rashad is going to knock Jon out, especially when a motivated and in shape (so we were told)Page couldn't. Jackson had a solid chin and a punchers chance. Evans will be easily out-gunned and out-reached in every phase of the fight, including mentally. And you will see a whole lot more against Shad than Page, because Jon wont have any fear of Evans. That fight will be another Rua-like mismatch.

Bragging because you can hold someone down... Yeah, Rashad can hump his way to a win?! Wow..I am shocked. Too bad Jones is the better fighter. If this was the Ultimate Hugging Championship then Rashad would have a legit chance of winning.

Rashad has a better chance than Rampage for sure, and possibly Shogun due to Rashad's superior wrestling, but he is also only 5'10" or 5'11", and his wrestling really hasn't been that dominant. Taken down repeatedly by Tito in their first fight, taken down by Bisping, spent lots of effort taking down Thiago Silva, couldn't take down Lyoto, etc.

un3rgr0und - Jones said at the post fight press conference that Rashad keeps talking about the 1 day he held Jones down in camp and that he will show everyone whats up when they finally fight.

I tend to believe him, Jones is on another level right now..maybe Rashad got the better of Jones but I bet Jones got the better of Rashad plenty of times and he's only gotten better.

He is walking through the competition like no one else...except for Anderson Silva

Thank you.  The fact that they trained together a while ago doesn't mean much anymore.  Jones has improved at an exponential rate and even something that may have been a slight weakness before, may be a strength now.  Just like Rogan said, if you compare the Jones in his first fight vs. tonight, it's not even the same person.  Even from a few fights ago, he's progressed a ton.  Rashad is a very good fighter.  Tonight if he would have fought Jones, it'd have been over in about the 2nd round.  I never thought Jones and Rampage truly dislike each other.  I believe Jones actually hates Rashad.  The WWE shit at the end with Hashad i the octogan and Jones's reaction seemed legit.

Rashad and Machida are definitely more of a stylistic threat to Jon Jones than Shogun or Rampage. I'm pretty sure he'll fight both within the next year.

I wouldn't say destroy but he'll do much better than Rampage did. He has the speed and cardio and he won't get taken down (I think)

Try watching the fight sober...

Totally sober and unbiased because Im not a fan of Bones or Jackson.

So then you're just incredibly low functioning.

Monty bringing the facts as usual.

Hashad easy.

rashad will def test jones..quinton just around for ppv viewers nowadays

I don't see him doing better than Rampage. Jones won't show the same respect for Rashad's striking as he did for Rampage. It will end a lot quicker too because Rashad doesn't have the greatest chin.

Reach is a mofo man but yea anything can happen.
Destroy is a powerful statement. Lose to...maybe. Get destroyed by...I can't see Rashad being the one to do it.

Also, wat was with the first like 10 seconds of the fight? Jon jones monkey posing?

Did jones striking look good this fight? Phone Post

 I approve.

Lol at all of these angry Jones fans. I'm sorry I have an opinion thats different when it comes to yalls saviour. This must be the crossovers from old Fedor fans.

TheTakeover - the difference between Bones and other hyped fighters is that Bones has dominated every single opponent he has fought with ease.

There really aren't many other title holding fighters you can say that about.

I just honestly dont think Jones looked that dominant last night. He really didnt land anything that damaging other than the knee strikes. Rampage's head movement was on point and Jones was having trouble getting him down.

Rampage gave him the best fight so far but still he was pretty dominant. Did Rampage land a single solid blow? No however Bones hit him at will. Sure he did not devastate him like Shogun because Rampage has one of the best chins in MMA but Jon hit him plenty and his face showed it, He landed some good leg kicks too and some good elbows on the ground and the one spinning etc.

I think that Rashad has a much better chance of getting inside on Bones with his quick footwork and head movement. Although Quintin has excellent takedown defense from the clinch he didnt pose much of a threat to employ his own takedowns. This made Rampage very predictable and allowed Jones to unleash the kicking assault we witnessed. Rashads offensive wrestling could makes Jones hesitant to throw all of those kicks. Like Quintin, Rashad has legit punching power and we still haven't seen how Jones reacts to being hit.

With that said, Jones by KD.
