First of all I don't mean any disrespect with what I wrote below. It's just something I noticed when some fighters become a champion and it's understandable.
What I noticed is that when the stakes get high some fighters pull out of the fight easier. What I mean is that RDA had an injury when he fought Pettis. He couldn't kick leading up to that fight, but his mindset was like fck it I need to win this belt. Now he's a champion and fighting Conor and he gets an injury (granted I don't know how bad it really is, but to be honest it doesn't look THAT bad) and pulls out immediately, because the stakes are high and the pressure is getting to him. I can understand his decision to not fight, it just shows that there are very few fighters who say "anytime anyplace anywhere" and really mean it.
I think somehow this builds up the future fight even more, and RDA and the rest of the champions are seeing this. The McGregor v Aldo fight was bigger the send time it was made because they promoted the fight twice.

EddiePain420 - he stubbed his little toe and pulled out right before a fight...very unprofessional.Conor stan
imo he was looking for a way out and he found one by training like an idiot( probably on purpose).
So Conor fans always say guys like Aldo and RDA are not draws. They sell no PPv's. When the y fight Conor, they make a ton of money. Rumor is Aldo made $5M for the Conor fight. Neither of those guys likely made over $1m per fight before.
So you guys are saying RDA would willingly give up a $5m payday, multiple times more than he'll ever make in one fight, and completely set up he and his family for life, if he wasnt really injured? He'll fight Benson, Khabib, Pettis, and Cowboy for little money but is scared of Conor for $5m?
Full retard achieved.

That would be an idiotic thing to do. He just lost a butt load of money, money that he can't even really recover if Nate beats McGregor. RDA must be praying right now that McGregor wins and doesn't get injured.
MrTamliani - First of all I don't mean any disrespect with what I wrote below. It's just something I noticed when some fighters become a champion and it's understandable. So were the injuries the same or is this one worse?

Ever hurt yourself before?
What have YOU done with a broken foot in your life that allows you to call out another man for choosing not to FIGHT with one at the highest level against a serious opponent?
Or do you just roll with whatever Conor says and call it a 'stubbed toe'?
Some people are just so moronic.

Are you serious? Doesn't RDA have a broken foot?
"imo he was looking for a way out"
RDA called out Conor. Why would he then immediately "look for a way out" as soon as he actually got the million-dollar fight he wanted?
I mean seriously, what would lead anyone to think something like that?
EddiePain420 - he stubbed his little toe and pulled out right before a fight...very unprofessional.Do you train with him? Those are some pretty big suppositions.

Once they lose that belt any of the big paydays in the future are gone. If it was just about the money those guys would have hid the injury and showed up anyway so as not to risk conor losing and their payday disappearing with him.

I mean, seriously? You seriously think RDA has a stubbed toe? The guy just broke his foot and lost out on a huge payday. Try doing anything athletic with a broken foot, let alone try to fight one of your biggest fights of your career.
OP is correct though. Certain champs won't fight at less than 100% it seems because they're terrified of losing the belt. They'll fight through all kinds of injuries to get the belt but they won't defend it with one.
Outlaw'd Stretched My Anus -Do even read the whole thread do understand the point of this thread. Some fighters when the stakes get high pull out of a fight easier than when the stakes aren't that high. RDA fought injured before.
Now where did I disrespect him please tell me. I even said his decision is understandable. You're so caught up trying beef on the internet it insane.

The little OP is correct on in this thread is just common sense or even simple logic.
To get a title shot isn't easy, so of course a fighter will take chances to get the shot. And of course once a fighter has the title, they won't just do anything to jeopardize losing it.
Now to use RDA who has a broken foot as an example for something that needs no argument to make sense is just nonsensical at best.
