Is it fair to concede that Forrest's win over Shogun means less and less, and more and more the at the time "excuses" that were quickly dismissed by Pride haters and UFC nuthuggers become ever more valid. I'll go on record saying Rua would savagely wreck Forrest if they ever fought again, and I'm very happy to see how Rua has proven the American masses wrong, and it's hilarious how fast things change in this game.
Seriously dude.. Pride is dead, get over it
You don't have to nuthug Shogun because he used to fight in Japan.. they both fight in the US now
Shogun lost that fight, no amount of revisionism will ever change it.
We have always been at war with Eastasia, that won't change.
Forrest was advised not to take the fight due to his serious shoulder injury that required a long surgery right after that fight. Both were injured. It's just that Forrest didn't make a pity party video of himself in the hospital.
Almost forgot, STFU TUF NOOB
And Coleman would have beat Maurice Smith but he gassed.

Is he nuthuggin or questioning those who wrote off all guys who used to or fight in Japan because Shogun lost? Because that did happen.
Now Shogun should be holding the UFC LHW belt. So, yeah, where are all those guys now?
Shogun lost fair and square and its in the books and that aint gonna change ever but it does seem apparent now, esp with Shogun improving with every fight in the UFC/post surgery/marriage/etc that fight may have been a blip on his radar.
Still Forrest showed he's for real in beating Rampage thereafter. Even if that was a BS decision too, Forrest still showed he belonged up top with those guys (maybe just not with Anderson).

Which started to form a pattern of his performances.
Shogun's to Forrest seems more like the exception now esp considering Shogun never gassed in any of his Pride fights.
And for the record, I'm a big Shogun fan. He will STILL improve which is scary and he won the other night and should be the new LHW champion. At a MINIMUM 3-2, more realistically 4-1.

And Forrest has taken huge shots before and smiled, but that short jab knocked him down. Shit happens in fights and there's always some reasons why. I mean, Forrest was coming off a broken left hand for the Silva fight so he couldn't even spar for almost 3 months. No one talks about that. Here'sa guy who hits pads, spars, etc...something everyday and now he can't? can't even grip? That played some part, however minor.
Wasa-B -someone who gets it, it's nice that someone has the ability to rationally interpret things around here. Honestly, I dont give many compliments, especially on the UG, but all in all, this here folks could be the best poster on the UG, and not only because of this one post.tdunning - Seriously dude..
