real fights in the gym ?

have any of you had real fights erupt at your gym while training of otherwise ? I mean a heated sparring session goes ballistic of two people settling an issue by really fighting ? Any funny, serious or entertaining stories welcome.

this one time, this dude allowed his the opening of his bottle to touch the water dispenser. It was gross, so i false-cracked him and stabbed him the left eye with a pencil.

i have, everyone just stops and watches until the instructor breaks it up, thats if he does!

I had this new kid come to the gym and he was being real aggressive. I told him to calm down, but he didn't want to for some strange reason.

So I knocked his ass down leaned over him and asked if he was ready to learn yet.

I don't know if that counts as a "real fight" but he would have kept trying to hurt me unless I did that.

ive seen a bunch of fights in the wrestling room. nothing spectacular but remember one where a guy was constantly leading with his head and pretty much head butting the other guy. the other guy got fed up with it and smoked him. then there was a bit of a brawl and the coach broke it up with a big smile on his face and partnered them again about 20 minutes later.

got someone in a triangle choke three times in a row and then they jumped up after the third time and punched the mat and started yelling. i was just like sorry dude

yeah, Ive cracked alot of people especially new people who were acting like assholes, but anyone seen say mma sparring just go ballistic  ?

lol i got a good story for you;

one time some fucking douche bag comes in wanting to learn mma just cos some dweeb no one likes in the gym told him to stop by, i guess they're like butt buddies or whatever

anyways the instructor pairs him with one of our better fighters

and the douche bag mcgee goes (with a cocky and smug attitude) i'm like 40 pounds heavier than him

and our homeboy just wrecks him, over and over and over

the douche bag was athletic though and had some heart, supposedly he played football before he moved out here

One time, this guy came in to check out our gym. He said he just wanted to see what goes on at an MMA/BJJ gym because he'd seen fights on Spike TV and found them very interesting.

Anyway, after a while, my coach (who is a UFC veteran) sort of jokingly invited him into the ring. The guy was saying a bunch of self-deprecating things and just basically trying to make sure my coach didn't hurt him.

They started in my coaches closed guard. My coach used his hips to sort of collapse the guy on top of him and then shouted, "hey look at this fag trying to lay on me!"

The guy then sort of laughed along and tried to post on the ground with both arms to push himself away. Well, I guess he was at sort of an odd angle, because my coach was able, with just a minimum of movement, to turn his hips so that he could lock on an armbar.

The armbar was on really loose, but the guy then freaked out. He let out sort of a shout/scream and tried to thrash away. My coach simply let go then.

When he let go, the guy fell back. I don't know if he was pissed off about falling back or freaked because of the armbar, but he got back into my coach's guard in about 2 seconds, lol. He started trying to do something like a can opener and was all red-faced.

My coach again collapsed his base and, as the guy fell into him again, brought up an elbow to the guy's grill. It make a sick as shit sound and the guy just fell on top and sort of gurgled.

I'm not sure if this is the type of story you were looking for, but it sure as hell happened in the gym, lol.

way for your trainer to be professional saying such ignorant things to new people

I had a kickboxing session that got heated but not out of anger. My opponent was my regular training partner and he just kept turning things up and I responded. Before we knew it, we were going all out. I don't recall what was landed or how hard but I must have been getting the better of him because my instructor yelled at me to back off. We were both kind of surprised that we were throwing that hard, then we just dialed it down and continued. Later, I ate my first dead on flush head kick ever. Fortunately, we were tired, had already been warned, and I was wearing head gear.

Your coach kind of sounds like an asshole.

Ditto on the coach asshole comment.

It got very tense for a few minutes. Everyone kind of looked down and stayed quiet.

if this has actually happend anytime in the past 10 years then your school sucks

a guy head butted me in a wrestling tourny years ago in the 1st round. The opening of the 2nd, i grabbed his headgear and headbutted him 3x on the opposite side of the ref, so he didn't see but my coach yelled at me later.

I train with the Lauzons - if it wasn't for the UFC and Hilo, they would probably be having deathmatched with their hands dipped in resin and broken glass by now

agree with Victor and Buuffgeo, you coach is a fucking looser, they guy was actually being humble about being a noob and the piece of shit hurts him? garbage leader.

I once talked to a guy who knew a guy that started a fight in a gym with another guy who was like "Hey, guy, I don't want to fight." But the guy didn't back down and the other guy kept going until the one guy was tapping the other guy. Then, it was over. It was so crazy!

Nice. Funny about the coach though. Mostly the person that's headbutting me IS my coach. Good times. I actually remember not too long ago I was at a tournament where some rough stuff was happening (elbows, thumbing the eye.. you know, the usual) and rather retaliating the wrestler on the receiving end (he actually won the match by a good margin) was complaining to the ref and even broke off when he was on top... things nearly escalated to an actual fight, but order was restored. Good thing, too, because about four of the complaining wrestler's teammates were standing by his corner of the mat looking antsy and the other guy was just there with his coach. It was funny because during this whole incident, once the guy started bitching, pretty much all attention was on this mat, and all activity even stopped on the other side of the gym: it was like watching a car accident.

On another note, when our coach was trying to get us to pick up the intensity during some ultra-quick rounds at the end of practice, a wrestling teammate of mine responded by "accidentally" punching me in the face. Split me right open, and left a neat-o scar which I now tell girls I got while saving kittens from Nazis... because I'm that kind of guy.
