real problem with Lesnar

has nothing to do with the WWE.

It has EVERYTHING to do with UFC management giving him a title shot after less than a half dozen pro MMA fights.

Is he being used? Hell yes.

If they want the sport to be taken seriously, they need to establish an amateur leagues and bring people up.

BTW, I liked Lesnar's performance.

Its called business and marketing and making money and he can fight a little.

Randy fought Maurice Smith for the title in his 4th fight.  Brock fought Randy for the title in his 4th fight.  What are you bitching about?

Randy was 3-0 in ufc
Brock was 1-1 in ufc
whats your point?

Smith1234 - Waaaaahhhhh!

Nope. Nothing to cry about. Didn't have any money riding on Couture.

Can't argue with Lesnar's athleticism, wrestling ability or work ethic (his standup has gotten noticably better.

UFC management - that's another story.

2mmafreaks - Randy was 3-0 in ufc

My only problem is UFC management. Is the sport the same? If UFC is arguing to be treated like a professional sport, then they need to act like a professional sport.

A guy with as few fights as Lesnar has, getting a title shot, wouldn't happen anywhere else.

Should it have happened with Couture - depends on how deep the field was. And it wasn't terribly deep.

Now? Shouldn't it be deeper? If the UFC was interested in growing the sport, wouldn't if be deeper?

Here's the Truth idiots

Lesnar fought Randy not the Title.

What I mean is that if someone else had the title they still would have had Randy Vs Brock because it was a big Money fight.

Brock might not have been ready or deserving for a title shot for another 1-2 years but then Randy would probably be gone by then.

It was now or never for Randy and Brock, it just happened to be for the title not because of the title.

"Lesnar fought Randy not the Title."

I can appreciate a big money fight. The UFC is a business and it needs those.

But can you have a big money fight without it being a title fight? I still think letting an unknown in the MMA world come in and get a title shot within 4 fights of the start of his career undermines MMA's legitimacy at this point in its development.

That's not the fault of the fighters. That's the fault of the management.

The management needs start acting professional.
