I've come to respect Smith over the years, because he seems to have an old school way about him.  He's fought a lot, and had a lot of fights before ever even getting a shot at the UFC, and once he got there, I'd say he had some nice achievements.  Not sure how much gas he has left in the tank, but he's parlayed his fighting into an analyst position and seems to be doing okay, so good for him. 

He's a smart guy, and he's earned it the hard way.
