Recovery after training/weightgain

So I am trying to lose a few pounds, 5 or so.

So after training (BJJ) I usually get a high carb/protein drink that they sell at normal supermarket and such.

Of course I also eat a normal dinner after one hour or so.

Am I actually doubling my intake of protein/carbs and are likely to gain weight from this? Should I quit taking these protein shakes?

You are probably not doubling your protein intake (I hope not), but you are probably adding 300 calories a day. That will add up. I believe that if you cut back about 300 calories a day, you will lose a pound a week.
