Reem's striking overrated

Don't get me wrong he is a very good striker. But in k1 and mma he relies alot on simply walking his opponent down, grabbing a hold of them and kneeing them or hitting them with short shots. It will be very difficult to do that against someone with the speed and power of jds eapecially without big pillows for gloves to use as shields. Phone Post

and so...it begins....

LULZ!

Reem gets by on power and size, but his technique really isnt great. Poor footwork amd head movement, few combos, and predictable. A one-armed Saki put up a decent fight and would have tooled Reem if healthy.

No hate, props to Reem for winning, but his technique is not impressive to me. Phone Post

This thread is overrated.

Thats really cool and ima let you finish but it Reem loses he should have to change his name to Alinolongerastar Overatreem! Phone Post

Cue up him smashing Badr with clean shots please. Phone Post

haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahhaahhhhhhahaahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahhahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahhahahahahaha... keeps laughing

i think his striking itself is not overrated, but his STANDUP from K1 is overrated. he has no footwork, lateral or head mvt. he simply gets hit or just blocks punches but is not good at slipping punches or others get out of punching position but moving in angles. he compensates by overwhelming foes with his shots.

JDS will beat him, probably tko

I am not impress by your performance Phone Post

also it works Phone Post

lol..

Ok so you have the face of the biggest MMA promotion saying he's over rated until he beat Lesnar..

You have hundreds of foaming at the mouth fanboys blind to anything but UFC saying he's on roids..

You have hundreds of know-nothing couch commandos saying K-1 is nothing..

You have people like YOU , OP, saying his striking sucks...

How exactly is this "OVER" rated?

If anything Overeem is UNDER-Rated given his dominance, and KO record.

You're a toolbag :)

I agree his standup really isn't that great. Aside from what others say about his head movement and footwork, the biggest thing he lacks is a JAB. He throws big combos and knees once he gets inside but on the outside he does next to nothing when he could be sticking a jab in someone's face all night.

Luckily he's fighting a guy who has worse footwork and head movement in JDS. I think Junior might be a little quicker and more athletic. Both guys lose steam after a few minutes. Reem has more experience and weapons standing, JDS has bigger wins at HW. Tossup fight.

People forget about Reem's submissions. He's the Duke of the Darce`..

I can't see how JDS wins this other than a lucky overhand right.

K-1 having the best strikers in the world is a joke! Overreem vs JDS is going to be a slaughter by JDS! Phone Post

This is what I am saying. He is k1 champ but the reality is in terms of technique and skill he is below most in k1.

Jds will expose. Phone Post
