That`s good & all but,the doctor can`t stop the fight. The referee has complete control.
The doctor can only advise the referee to stop the fight.
I was totally confused by this fight because it wasn`t possible (for me at least) to learn that the referee had stopped the bout during the broadcast.
I`m talking about the Blaydes fight.
If Oleinik had continued to fight it would have been called a no contest.
In the amateur ranks, the doctor can stop the fight without any additional approval. I wonder if that goes state to state as far as rules.
