TTT!
Man can't believe it's been so long
Man, I seriously can't even watch that video that I made. I don't know why I chose such sad music :( guess I was pretty sad when he passed. Was a great honor to train under him for five or so years in Chicago.

His legacy will will live on forever.
6 years?!? How is that even possible?
He really was larger than life.
My instructor told me Carlson used to be in the gym and tell one dude "that guy over there, you know he said you are little bit of a fag"
then he would tell the other dude "i dont know, that guy said a little something about your wife"
then Carlson would have them roll against each other
Best teacher I've ever had!!
"Much much larger than life..."
^^ Very true!! A great video!!!
Thanks for posting this.
Jay made a great tribute.
Carlson was the best teacher I ever had. He was a father figure for many of us.
Arguably the greatest of the Gracies, too.
His ashes are interred in a cemetery in Evanston, just north of Chicago. Its easy to find is anyone wants to visit, just ask me for directions. If I lived in Chicago I would certainly visit today and place flowers there and some BJJ item...
Rest in Peace
RESPECT CARLSON

It's a perfect tribute. I wouldn't change a thing. I DO wish there was more footage of his fights available. I guess that Gracie movie that was in the works had a ton of Carlson being Carlson. Let's hope it still comes out. Until then keep practicing REAL POSITION!
Carlson is probably one of the best people on and off the mats. One of the funniest nights of my life was with Wallid and Carlson, it was like seeing two kids laughing about everything.
Rip Carlson Gracie, his legend will live on through those who loved and respected him.

Carlson was always one of my favorite guys to see at tournaments and fights. Always smiling, always took time to say hello and joke around with our team. RIP Carlson we all miss you!
6 years? Wow. Thanks for the video.
