No credit to the UFC or Zuffa of any sort...needless to say I passed on that information to the powers that be. What happened with it, I don't know...don't care either. I cashed my Yamma check and gave away a shit ton of shirts and hats. many of today's fans dont even remember yama pitfighting the day it happened but it was a miracle that it went off.
i saw Meyrowitz on hdnet talking about having this senior circuit and a few days later got a call from franc nguyen in arlington tx asking if i could help pat smith get a fight.
i told franc i could only feel comfortable asking Meyrowitz to put smith on a show cuz smith was 45 yrs old and didnt feel comfortable asking joe silva or coker to put him on their shows.
i didnt know Meyrowitz personally but i googled him and he put me in touch with mike popp the matchmaker. i made a fight with pat smith vs. taktarov. but smith was arrested a few days later and had to be scratched from the card.
i was able to get nick lembo of njsac to agree on how we could get smith back on the card providing the charges could be dropped which they did except mike popp had to move ahead with the card and for a few days we had no fight even though lembo cleared smith.
in the end smith fought butterbean. smith weighed 245 lbs chisled. butterbean weighed 438 lbs .

yes, the yamma pit funnels the children into the center of the jello, making sure they dont stall by hanging onto the fence. the kids either adapt... or they go extinct. back to you bruce!
i think the actual pit is still lying in a warehouse in jersey somewhere. id pay money to have that put together again for one night and hold fights in it...
