Just popped into my head. Once Renzo wins the rematch with Frank, I think Showtime should give Evan a big chunk of dough for this fight. I would think a former UFC champion would be a bigger draw than a Shamrock that no one outside of internet forums has ever heard of.
Interesting. Depending on whether Tanner is in fighting form (i.e. the Evan that beat Baroni and Terrell) I think he'd really lay a beating on Renzo. But if his wheels are off, Renzo probably takes care of business.
I guess what I'm saying is that I like the matchup and I think it's Evan's fight to win or lose.
I like this matchup from a style perspective, and the perspective that it would be just the kind of fight to propel Tanner back into the mix with a win. Tanner by decision.
I don't understand this business of Renzo getting "wrecked". Aside from his loss to Henderson, where he got caught while shooting, and his loss to Sak where he wasn't close to getting wrecked before the kimura, who has "wrecked" Renzo?? Stop with the emotional hate-based posts for a minute, and please school me.
