Report-Doctors have advised Brock Lesnar to retire

If true, then as a man he should retire.  He has a family that needs him more than this sport does.

would suck to lose a good HW who just proved a lot of doubters wrong and made great strides during his tenure in MMA.

I really was hoping to see Lesnar try another 3-4 years, he gets lots of fans to watch the sport and make it grow.

The cold facts are that a guy just showed up from WWE, never was given a can parade to fatten up on, and won the title. He defended it after almost dying, and then lost while having a relapse. He pissed a lot of people off in doing so, and it's hard for people to accept. He was a superior athlete. He should retire, because he doesn't need this. He's a millionaire, as opposed to guys who do this or clean toilets or pick apples. He can remain a millionaire by doing a couple of WWEs a year, even though the rest of the roster, who would give their left nut to be able to do that, are not qualified for it and couldn't get the job. Retire. This small part of life has been conquered.

Oh, I get it. This is more, epic comeback bullshit. I can't wait to see Brock take another beating on the Fox show.
Choked72 - Cain would have lost to the old Brock. Before his diverculitis and after Mir Fight #1, he was unbeatable.
Dr Acula - fibrous vegetables good. massive strips of beef jerky bad.
Yeah, wtf is his problem? Extreme idiocy? He almost dies twice, yet continues to eat what put him there?!?!

Every fighter hasn't had 12" of their colon removed.

 great, great post. VTFU

Thank you, sir

mdh2k10 -  the fact that he fired greg nelson for a 2 minute espn interview where all he basically said was "brock isn't dead" was ridiculous

without nelson brock was doomed.

He then proceeded to let his yes man become his trainers and slacked off and didn't even let his sparring partners hit him

if his illness didn't get him, his ego would've

True, unfortunately. I'm a huge Brock fan, but that performance against Cain was sickening. Brock looked like he did not want to be there. He looked like he regressed. His technique looked like shit. And I don't want to hear that shit about him wilting when he gets hit. He was getting smashed against Carwin and was still able to implement good technique to avoid a stoppage. Maybe Cain would have won anyway, but that performance showed a lack of good training. And you tarnish the belt when you fight that way as a champion.

Nate C - "And I don't want to hear that shit about him wilting when he gets hit. He was getting smashed against Carwin and was still able to implement good technique to avoid a stoppage. "

lmfao delusional brock fans are delusional.

the guy sucked.

he was going against a guy on his level with similiar experience and background who was in longer and had better weapons than him ---not to mention CAin wasnt intimidated .

size doesnt matter once you get chin checked --you can be Koed

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking. I can hear Goldberg now.

"AND DESPITE ALL ODDS...HE IS BACK!!!!!!!! AND TONIGHT THE FORMER WORLD CHAMPION TAKES ON FRANK MIR FOR THE 40TH TIME!!!!" Phone Post

what other heavyweight with the same low amount of fights have even broke into the top ten let alone won the title? i know the hype around brock was overkill and turned alot of ppl off but he is a great wrestler with insane power. cain punched him in the face hard enuf to open up a goat vagina gash dont act like you could have taken that punch. anyone would have went down.im not a real big brock fan cuz pro wrestling is gay but he has been way better than i had expected him to do when i heard a wwe star was coming to the ufc.compared to bobby lashley and dave batista id say brock has done pretty good for himself. did he live up to the hype? yes and no. he won the belt but the hype was so great no one ever could live up to being the unstoppable frate trane for ever

i do not want to see brock vs mir again id rather see either of them vs reem and see what that hype train is all about

One of the best posts I've read on here in the last month or so.

Hi Zuffa!

Brock Lesnar is an incredible story of success, both in athletics and in business.  The 2 time NCAA wrestling finalist and National champion parlayed his mat skills, business savy, and tremendous physique into super stardom in the WWE.  In a very short span, he went from his debut appearance, to the very top guy in the premiere professional wrestling promotion on the planet.  And when he was done there, he simply walked on to the Minnesota Vikings and made their practice squad.  This was after playing no college football and after years and years of not having played the game at any level.  He was simply that gifted of an athlete.

When he finally arrived in the world of MMA.  Rightfully so, he was the mosty hyped athlete in MMA ever.  And he would not disappoint, running a murderer's row to begin his career.  Has anyone ever faced so many rnaked opponents to begin a career?  A former and future World Champion in his 2nd bout.  A 2 division multiple champion by his 4th bout and back to back reigning champions in bouts 5 and 6 and through it all he stood with a record of 5-1, and a 2 time defending world champion.  All by fight #6.

Why he receives so much hatred on this web site is a mystery to me.  My best guess would be insecurities and jealousy by his critics.
