OK, so I've generally been a part of that group of people that says Kimbo has no business fighting in main events on network TV and that his fights so far have been engineered to make him look good, but I have to give him respect right tonight. Seth Petruzelli is an experienced, well rounded fighter, and he's not an easy fight for anybody, and especially not for somebody of Kimbo's experience level.
Win or lose, Kimbo can show that he's the real deal just by holding his own against Seth. And he and his camp deserve respect just for taking this fight on such incredibly short notice. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this fight plays out.
I like Kimbo too...I hope he has done a lot of work since that Jame Thompson fight.
Yes he really showed his courage by accepting this fight.
I still hope Seth wins.
yeah props for accepting. he will lose unless its worked
Definitely Kimbo's best opponent on paper, I guess.
max power - yeah props for accepting. he will lose unless its worked
That's sort of what I was thinking when his opponent was going to be Ken Shamrock. But I really don't think Seth would throw the fight, considering how much a win could do for his career. In fact, I would be really surprised if this was anything other than a legit fight,
Props to Kimbo for taking the fight (did he have much of a choice, though?) but I hope he gets smashed.
ttt
Eh... I don't think he had much of a choice. It was either take the fight or put his reputation for "fighting anyone" on the line and be the guy who sank the entire show. I'm pretty sure that they gave him enough money to make it worth his while, win or lose.
agreed...you've gotta respect Kimbo for taking a TOUGHER fight.
