Restaurant closes because Pro Trump

http://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/2017/10/14/arizona-restaurant-closes-following-backlash-from-its-pro-trump-facebook-post.html

An Arizona restaurant was forced to close its doors indefinitely this week after a politically charged Facebook post the eatery’s owners wrote prompted mass criticism from social media users.

I don't understand how this works. Backlash on social media? Delete your Facebook. Problem solved. I doubt seriously anyone criticizing them was eating at the restaurant prior.

So it's ok to make threats of harm and violence because of someone's beliefs?

Where are the police?

Very very dangerous slope we are in here.

Is this pic from that restaurant? Call the cops. Problem solved.

Those are the cops.

How stupid and incompetent of a business owner do you have to be to make that Facebook post? My buddy who owns a coffee shop is a big liberal but he would never, ever make a social media post like that, because he's smart enough not to alienate half his fucking customer base.

Good.

The guy is a fucking moron.

Not because he supports Trump, but because he basically dared the SJWs to fuck with his business and got what he asked for. Arizona was basically split down the middle between Trump and Clinton, Pima county leaned slightly towards Clinton, and Tucson itself (where the restaurant is located) was firmly in the Clinton camp. What kind of fucking idiot business owner posts a message on social media that is designed to offend the majority of his customers?

You reap what you sow dumbass.

I thought the same thing. This will not end well. But at the same time should they really be punished/shut down for stating their opinion?

Absolutely.

It is the free market at work. If you intentionally shit on the majority of your potential customers, they are entitled to vote with their wallets and send you into bankruptcy. The First Amendment protects you from government fuckery, not from private citizens deciding you are a cunt and boycotting your business.

Does that also apply to restaurants who support Colon not wanting to show football games?

They weren't punished or shut down. They could still be open, they chose not to be.

Sure.

Though I think most people that support the protests aren't football fans. A whole lot of the people most up in arms about it aren't sports fans, which is why the NFL was retarded for catering to their whims. Just like this asshat in Tucson is reaping what he sowed, so is the NFL.

They were on site disrupting their business and harassing their customers. Big difference between that and boycotting.

Where does it say that in the article?

Agreed. Same with the NFL or any business that politicizes their product or service.

How were they punished? Who shut them down?

Threats?

Both sides support actual physical violence based on rhetoric.

On the Left, violence is fine if youre being "offensive".

On the Right, violence is fine if you mouth-off to a cop.

That's not mentioned in the OP. It says they received angry phone calls and negative Yelp reviews. Someone may have threatened to burn it down, which is fucked up and illegal. But no one made them close. They did that themselves.

The picture shows a bunch of dindus standing in the restaurant disrupting things.
