EASTON VS MINAJEVS
It was a close call, a lot of people thought Easton lost, judging by the crowds response after the decision. It was a really exciting fight and Easton always entertains, however, his opponenet dominated the take down scoring and landed some nice straight left jabs and uppercuts as Easton tried to close. Easton did stay active from the bottom with heel kicks to his opponents thighs, It was a great match up though, very exciting. Eston came close with a couple of nice high switch kicks to the head. Easton seemed to have some trouble with the guys reach advantage. That would be a great re-match, maybe in more neutral environment.
FOWLER VS BALDWIN
The Lloyd and Fowler fight was good. Fowler wore his gi, don't know if that was strategic or kind of a "here you can even try to choke me, but I'm still gonna win", kind of mind game thing... Anyway, Fowler started off with a good take down from the clinch. I think Fowler was active in Lloyd's guard for a long time, as Lloyd attempted to hang on. Once the guard was broken, it was over though. Fowler never let him close again. Lloyd did reverse a position once as Fowler attempted to finish with a Kimura from across-side. Fowler set up the triangle and then finished it from the top.
Great night of fights all around. There were a couple of close calls, that went the wrong way imo. But great fights from all fighters.
