the way the rules are written in the state of new jersey, EVERYTHING is considered a TKO - no matter if it's a submission or KO. the theory behind this is the ref always has to step in and stop the fight.
and i spoke with danny the next day. it was a viable stoppage.
i hear what you're saying scottso. but danny was tagged right on the button and when he was on his back he couldn't move his legs to work guard. was he unconscious? no. would being dropped and being unable to use your legs be considered a knockout? i think so.
I was surprised at that fight. He just got tagged I think that is the tough thing about MMA there are so many ways to get caught. It happens. I think the refs did a great job with all the stoppages I saw
Yeah.....that is about what went down all right.......right on the button it was. When you get caught like that you have to recover quick or your done.
