Dos Anjos comes in wild Conors timing power and accuracy will clip him early. I actually think Cerrone has a better chance against Conor if he uses his kicks to keep range. Still he comes straight ahead and I see him getting clipped with the left or the right.
As for who will win tonight. I think Cerrone has the tools especially of he uses his kicks and jab to control distance. However he seems to use it in the beginning then sort of forgets about it as the fight wears on. He needs to back up Dos Anjos and pressure him. And hes good at it when he does it but seems to stop when he takes some heat. Maybe he has learned from the first fight who knows. It could go either way IMO
Both guys are not as good when pressured and Conor is the master of pressure but also his counters are amazing.
You might want to watch RDA vs Pettis. I like Conor. Neither are easy matchups.
Willin - You might want to watch RDA vs Pettis. I like Conor. Neither are easy matchups.
I watched it when it happened but yeah should re-watch it. However from what I remember RDA put on relentless pressure. Pettis is mainly a counter fighter waiting for an opening. RDA did well not giving him the chance. Like I said though RDA comes in wild. With Conor if he comes in like that it could go much like the Aldo fight.
Willin - You might want to watch RDA vs Pettis. I like Conor. Neither are easy matchups.I believe conor would lose to Pettis, RDA and Cowboy. Not to mention Nate etc.

Ok, tell us why? Give a little bit of a break down on your reasoning?
One of the reasons Conor is able to pressure so effectively is his size and reach at 145 as well has his timing. Cerrone is a big 155er. He has no physical advantages against him.

Disagree he will pressure anyway. He still has the reach on Cerrone. RDA effectively pressured cowboy and he is smaller. The way RDA comes in and how Conor counters gave me Shades of thee Brimage fight and the Aldo fight. RDA is more wild then Aldo. I believe RDA will get KTFO.

It's all speculation until we see Conor vs a bigger fighter. It's never happened.
Willin - You might want to watch RDA vs Pettis. I like Conor. Neither are easy matchups.First post nails it. Dos anjos wasn't wild. He literally fought the best fight I've even seen. He was a terminator
RDA being a southpaw gots to factor in.
mma is always filled with surprises and I would love to see this fight. When is the last time a Jackson fighter "got smoked"? Those guys are pretty consistently prepared and Greg would have a secrete sauce waiting for Conor.

Well he has an inch or two of reach on him so you're wrong there, but it's the large skill disparity that would be the real reason McGregor would be a massive favourite against Cerrone. It's still absolutely baffling to me that people can't compute how good a striker McGregor is. At least in terms of striking, McGregor is on a completely different level to everyone at 145 and 155, including Pettis.

I just went and watched it again and he was wild coming in on Pettis also. In fact Pettis was pot shot countering him pretty well so RDA started taking him down tired him out etc. RDA comes straight forward too. Conor is kryptonite for straight ahead fighters. Frankie has the best chance against him with his lateral movement and wrestling. I still think even Frankie gets clipped.

Pretty sure Cerrone has 2 or 3 inches of height on him, pretty much cancels out the reach. I really don't see Conor pressuring the same way at 155. He was able to easily bully everyone at 145 while standing with his reach.

RDA is the same size as Conor with less reach and he pressured Cerrone just fine. Not sure how you reason height nullifies reach. Conor has fought 155 before. I agree with ajsr most don't seem to understand Conors superior skill footwork and movement. Being able to pressure does not come from size it comes from skill and footwork. Watch some of Robin Blacks break downs or read Jack Blacks, pay attention when he talks about where he places his feet and why etc...
Dude, i know Conor has proven lot of us wrong but c'mon. U have to make the assumption after he has 1 fight at Lw. Not sure i think he had competed at LW before but uh... UFC light weights are lil bit different animal. First of all, I think they are most stacked. Second, there are so many different factors in a 10lbs heavier weight class. Not so sure if Conor will be able to put away these bigger 155 at ease. Also at 145, Conor was the best pure striker in the division. But at 55, there are many guys that are striking oriented fighters. But Conor still has to fight Edgar to see how he handles those type of fighters
If he repeats what he did at 145, Conor GOAT! P4p #1, Goat FW, GoAt Lw, best of the best but not so sure about this.
