Most fighters that fought in both are leaner and more muscular in the UFC.
Pride was good, but not as good as I remembered. Lots of blah decisions.
Production value not as good as remembered.
Who is more muscular in the UFC besides guys who put on mass for heavyweight?
Herpaderp - overall the events were more stacked, the fights were better, less decisions, werent inundated with fighters from sub LHW divisions (its ridiculous that LHW and HW are two of the smallest divisions - every division under LHW except feather needs to be reduced to 1/4 of its size)
The amount of really good fighters at 205 and heavyweight and below 145 is always going to be smaller than the rest of the divisions.
Most the guys in Pride were so jacked up on roids it was more like pro wrestling. It was funny to see how small the guys got when the came to the UFC.
I loved the pride rules. I think the 10 minute first round was awesome. They should bring that to the UFC.The ropes were so stupid though. The fighters would always get tangled up under the ropes and the ref would always have to drag them back to the middle of the ring. They would never end up in the same position. Also, the refs
Always had these super late stoppages.
Best part about pride though, the screaming announcer chick!!! Dana, get her now!!!

Can you name a single one? I'm struggling to find a single fighter that was much bigger in pride.
Also shoji over steibling was the worst decision on earth

Wanderlei and Rampage are obvious ones. They were both pretty jacked when they were in Pride. I know Wand has gone down in weight classes since coming to the UFC. Do a image search and see for yourself.

I can't think of anyone who fought at 205 in Pride and HW in UFC... unless OP is talking about Overeem, who moved up to HW and gained mass long before he was in UFC.
Or just heavyweight in General, Big nog got a lot bigger in the UFC, and Werdum seems to be in better shape.
PRIDE NEVER DIE
BLASPHEMERS!
The cards had bigger names top to bottom. But PRIDE was never "better" then the UFC south of LHW. The did have more depth at LHW and HW, but the UFC still had good fights at the higher weights.
The reason there were more exciting fights most the time was mismatches. When you look back at some of the match ups they'd be laughed at in the UFC.
I'm not hating on PRIDE. Second best Org ever. People who claim PRIDE was better on every card, every time are just UFC haters.
I never bought into the PRIDE supremacy thing.

Well, thanks for letting us know you're oblivious to things like Randy vs. Toney, Vitor vs. Jones, Sonnen vs. Jones and Lluili(?) vs. Mousasi.
OK We'll name freakshow match ups... Vitor vs Jones was a horrible example btw. So is Sonnen Jones.
Fedor Zulu. Fedor Coleman. Fedor Ogawa. Fedor Goodridge.
OK...
Your turn.
Go.
Roid accusations are worthless unless you can link it with solid evidence, as speculation in itself holds very little value
Good lord, lol@pride fanbois complaining of UFC mismatches. Wand fought a dude at Shockwave that had 0 fights...LOL
Pride was awesome though, love the way fights were scored in principle over the point system. Loved when knees and stomps came back. Liked the concept of yellow cards. Mixed on the 10 minute round, if a fight was going to be slow then watching it for 10 minutes straight became VERY difficult.

Maybe you haven't been reading these boards for the past year, but UFC has plenty of vocal critics who are not impressed by their matchmaking. That's not an area where you can hold them superior to Pride.
Chael/Vitor vs Jones wouldn't even be considered a "freak" fight in Pride. We complain about UFC matchmaking because it's held to a different standard.

Vitor/Sonnen vs Jones is about as much as freakshow fight as Wand/Mirko (it isnt).
Eveyone knows randy vs toney was a freakshow, but it doesnt get a lot of praise for being an exciting fight for being finished early.
After Nog got to the finals of the HW grand prix and had a competitive fight with Fedor, he fought a guy who was 0-0 in mma (but accomplished in wrestling), someone who was 187 lbs to his 240 (literally a WW vs HW) and then Zulu, who got submitted in his next fight against BUTTERBEAN.
These kind of matchups would get Dana crucified.
Id like screaming pride lady, but i think shes having trouble hitting the high notes nowadays
