Ricardo & Flavio Almedia BJJ Seminar!

It gives me great pleasure to announce our next seminar. This time, we are going to bring Prof. Flavio Almeida, from Gracie Barra San Clemente! And to make things even better, Ricardo "big dog" Almeida is also going to join us!

Flavio is nothing less than the brain behind the Gracie Barra Association, responsible for the class structure and curriculum. He takes the art of teaching to a next level, paralleled by very few in the BJJ world. His classes are remarkable due to the high level of attention, excitement, and discipline, as professor expects nothing but the best from each one of the students.

Flavio is a 3rd degree black belt and has been studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Master Carlos Gracie Jr. for more then 15 years. His BJJ journey begins at the age of 13, when he decided to go with his brother – Ricardo “Big Dog”Almeida - for a trial class at the original Gracie Barra School, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

As a competitor, Flavio achieved several titles, including including 2 world championships, a Panamerican championship, a 2nd place at the ADCC – 2007 (World Submission Grappling Championship), American Nationals Championship, Multiple Brazilian Nationals and Rio de Janeiro State Championships. He is considered one of the best Jiu-Jitsu players that ever stepped in the octagon. What some people don't know, is that he is also an awesome professor and run one the biggest Jiu-Jitsu schools in Eastern US. He has trained and formed several black belts besides an impressive MMA team. Frankie Edgard's last victory in the UFC proves Ricardo's ability to build champions.

On a personal note, Flavio was one of my toughest training partners in Brazil! Extremely competitive, he was always the one to push our limits and get us ready for competitions. We have a lot in common like our passion for teaching and surfing. I am sure that you will like the way he teaches and how he sees the sport and the Gracie Barra Family, an experience not to miss. Ricardo was the first guy that i ever trained with at Gracie Barra and he impressed me from the very beginning. He was one of Gracie Barra's strongest competitor and he always succesfully represented the team not only in Jiu-Jitsu tournaments, but also in MMA fights. Two brothers that represent the essence of Jiu-Jitsu better than anyone else.

Due to space limitations, the maximum number of students will be 40. First come, first served.
