Rickson Mizuno Gi

So I know that these are no longer made but I've heard a lot of people say that this was one of the best gi's they ever wore.

What would it be comparable to with what's on the market today?

They still make the invisible gi. Email me and I can ship you one if the price is right Phone Post

I have one somewhere around the place but only wear it for traditional Pankration classes.

Kidding aside, I was mainly curious about the Rickson Mizuno becausea friend of mine mentioned that the weaves could be comparable to most gold or double weaves that are out on the market but just wanted to check with people who actually had one is possible.

Yeah! They are very good! First time I wore mine, people were giving me funny looks. But now I lost it! just can't find it! I know it is somewhere around here...

I've got the Conquest model which is the real heavy goldweave. I love it, it's my favourite gi. Perfect fit for me. As to how it compares to anything on the market today? Tough to say, everything now is about lightweight gis.

Checkuroil - you can still get these gis?

I've been searching the Atama threads and google for info on good gold weaves as out of gis I own I tend to like rolling in those vs the lighter comp models out there.

Had a post about Gold Weaves under here:

Been debating between Mkimonos, Howard, and Subculture lately.

Issues I have are:
Mkimonos - Read that people aren't a fan of how the newer models fit and I'm not touching the Lutador Americana's after seeing one of those in person.
Howard - Read about some quality and customer service issues that are disappointing. Still love my Howard Absolute though
Subculture - Not a fan of patches running along the lapel for some reason.

Anyone have any suggestions for a good double or gold weave with the above in mind?

Get in touch with Fushida and see if they've got any of their Komodo models left in your size. It's not a double weave, but it is a heavy single, and feels nice and solid.

Anyone know if the Kron kimonos are essentially the same thing?

That's what I thought too GZFS,

Just wanted to make sure everything I read about those being made from OTM are correct.

this one looks to be closest to the kron one. low front seam and rope drawstring.

this one has the front seam higher up than kron and has the fabric drawstring

kron kimono for comparison

Cleber used to where them, I thought they were heavy and not tappered right, more like a Judo gi but maybe they updated them by now.
