He had so many sambo matches in brazil that he forgot the rules when he came to America. Thats why he lost to Tripp (Mark or Ron I forget which one beat him).

Hugo was no joke, like many of the LL guys. Always wondered if there was any other bjj guys that could have beat him besides Rickson. Same with Zulu. It was like, “Jiu Jitsu is the best! But only our greatest guy of all time is our only chance.”
Was an 18 year old Rickson really bjj guy they thought had a chance vs Zulu? Doesnt do much for the “BJJ is the best fight” argument.

In all fairness to Rickson when he lost to Tripp it was because the rules were similar to Judo I believe… he got thrown quick and that was the match. It wasn’t like he was submitted or finished. He claimed he didn’t know the rules but…:roll_eyes: lol

There was a list at one time of Rickson’s wins.If it was real or not don’t ask me.

Since he don’t include Ron,I’m very skeptical of his statement.

400 & 0 or 450 & 0 is such a round number.

Really? That list was proven fake as soon as it popped up. The names were ridiculous and the dates were unrealistic as well.
