I think there is many people that would beat Rickson today at MMA. But in this particular matchup I would put big money on Rickson to beat Terrel. I've only lost twice betting on MMA fights and that was a long time ago. I would put big money on this fight I'm so sure Rickson would win.
Sport BJJ would be closer. Its hard to say but even at Rickson age he still could pull off the win. I wouldn't bet on this match but I would lean toward Rickson.
In a sub grappling match? Terrell by points, with ridiculous ease.
Terrell would do what he did against Avellan, which is sit back and defend takedowns, then get a couple quick points off a takedown late in the match, and then sit on the lead until the match was over. Easy win.

Rickson is a living legend. He proved himself when Gracie Jiujitsu was proving itself and we should not forget this, just as the Gracie family should not forget their roots. We must all learn to be respectful of those who paved the way before us.
Rickson has NOTHING to prove to any annonymous nobody or any other for that matter. Why should a legendary fighter now in their 50's have to prove themselves against every young up&comer just to prove that they were ONCE a great fighter?
I'm sure Rickson is still an amazing fighter but should not be expected to compete at a level of a top fighter in their prime, just because he was once a great fighter.

As much as I would love to see Rickson compete against the top grapplers, I can see why he wouldnt want to do it. Its a no win situation for him and no lose situation for Terrell. Although I would pay a lot of money to see those two go at it in a no gi no time limit match.
