Guys like him as soon as they stop losing they immediately start gaining. Weight loss is overrated because you’re getting consistent feedback and results which keeps you motivated. Maintaining weight loss is the real battle. It’s like conquering vs maintaining an empire. Much different.

The picture with fury is from years and years ago before Tyson made his comeback…

Hatton used to balloon between fights. One of my coworkers was in Vegas for the Mayweather (or pac man I forget) and said the night before the fight Ricky was in the casino fucken wasted. Turbo shitfaced. They got pictures with him, and later got a message from his manager thanking them for keeping it all private and not going to the press.

Because Floyd was too smart. Anytime Ricky got close Floyd would land his straight right and clinch. Or would hold on to Ricky’s forearms. Floyd is a master of the game. Knows all the tricks in and out and was boxing since he was 4. He was a young pup training with a prime Pernell Whitaker and raising eyebrows.

Floyd was too many levels above Ricky. It didn’t matter what ref you had in there that night. Floyd would of clinched until, grabbed, used his elbows for separation etc.

Fuck I wish he could’ve beat Floyd. He’s already a national treasure but it would’ve been so good if he got him.
