Ring Magazine's Top 10 PFP

To start off the new year:

  1. Floyd Mayweather

  2. Manny Pacquiao

  3. Juan Manuel Marquez

  4. Bernard Hopkins

  5. Joe Calzaghe

  6. Israel Vasquez

  7. Miguel Cotto

  8. Ricky Hatton

  9. Winky Wright

  10. Rafael Marquez

What do you guys think?

I would probably have switched Calzaghe and Bernard at #4 and #5, but it's looking like they'll get a chance to settle this in the ring so it doesn't make that much of a difference.

Rafael Marquez IMO belongs higher on the list than Ricky Hatton.

Kelly Pavlik is notably absent.

was that list concucted before or after the Hatton fight?

Does Hatton deserve to be there after his beating by Mayweather?

I'd put Calzaghe at number 3.

I don't know why a beating from the guy who's at #1 would disqualify you from being #8.

It was constructed after the Floyd - Hatton fight. I could definitely see an argument for putting Calzaghe at #3.

Pacquiao - Marquez is gunna be a GREAT fight

Anyone think Hatton is a more dangerous fighter than De la Hoya at this stage of their careers? Hatton is very tough, but I still think Oscar is a better fighter even now.

"Hatton is by far the best JWW and is right up there with the best WW,"

He's the best at 140, but no way he's right up there with the best 147'ers....unless right up there means Bottom half of the top 10.

being an undefeated fighter, and the legit champ at 140, with your only loss being at 147 to the #1 fighter in the world, should not keep you from being #8 on that list

Unless you think getting knocked on his ass 3 times in 1 round by the #2 guy should keep JMM from being #3
