Pretty sure I got little ringworm on my ribs. How long do u think I should sit out and any preventative measures I should take? Just bought defense soap, unfortunately a week to late though
lets get dangerous - Lol sit out until it's gone. Go to the doctor and get a script for it. Extacto or something or rather is what I was given before. That rx is golden, it cleared my worm up in less than a week but I still took 2.5-3 weeks off to be safe. I've seen guys get back on in 1 week because a doctor told them it was no longer contagious after 2 days of otc cream. Lol fuck that shit I ain't going anywhere near you if that's the case.Well this sucks

You can get Lamisil at any pharmacy. It's cleared up my ringworm faster than any prescription. It'll be non contagious after two days, but two weeks off should put you in the clear. Like the above poster said, don't be that guy and train with noticeably bumpy raised skin.
Household bleach + polysporin
Soak a cotton swab in bleach. Tape it over the ringworm for like 30 minutes. Put some polysporin on.
You can also burn it off with a hot object or go do a medical doctor and get some antifungal cream. I think a common brand name is lotrimin. Look for something with Clotrimazole in it, or Butenafine hydrochloride.
Defense has several products and ointments to help rid ringworm. Check em out
I bought lotrimin Ultra. Have any of you guys had success with that product? and yea won't be training for awhile.....Any products that treat depression...fuck...jk jk
Please don't burn yourself. A couple of weeks isn't worth a lifelong scar.
I have used Lotrimin and Lotrimin Ultra to treat ringworm. My understanding is that it is no longer a threat to others after 2-3 days of continuous treatment, but may still be visible for a week or two while the skin recycles. If you have only been at your gym, let the gym know you got it there so the coach can tell people to check their skin and get a mat hygiene reminder.
Coal Tar Soap is supposed to work too.
bunch of pussies around here....
take a blow torch to it for like 5 seconds. put on a band-aid. go train.
Osiris is correct, Lamisil will clear it up very quickly if you apply it daily. Works much faster than Lotrimin or some other prescription I got once upon a time. You may be able to train after only a few days of treatment.
If you don't want to go to the doctors, then use Lamisil and tea tree oil (both are anti-fungal). Also, I suggest scrubbing the heck out of it when cleaning it and clearing away the flaky skin.
I have a kind of gross scar on my chest from using bleach to treat ringworm. I would stick with the creams!
Yeah. Lamisil. Keep on applying it even after it is visibly gone, for about a week afterwards.
Ubiquitous - Yeah. Lamisil. Keep on applying it even after it is visibly gone, for about a week afterwards.This. It is important to continue treatment beyond when the infection is no longer visible

3 days of treatment and your good to go. To hell with missing there weeks for something that 95% of the people rolling have on their feet anyway.
^^but keep treating it like others have said. 3 days and it's not spreading but will come back if you stop treating it.
Carry the lamisil cream with you and apply several times a day
