RIP Saddam

I cant believe he is actually dead, he was a great man who did some questionable things. RIP

yea whatever queer

why the hate? this is a tribute thread.

RIP to a great man.

A victim of politics and the US agenda.

.

.

what exactly made him great? Can you compare his greatness to other men in whom you see similar greatness?

its cuz he ruled by fear. Now way in hell he would do that in america, teh Crips would cap his ass

"what exactly made him great? "

When the CIA put him into power Iraq was a backward shit hole. Saddam spent years building hospitals, schools, libraries and other public institutions. He gave electricity to most of the country, he gave them national pride.

He was thought of as a great man by the Reagan-Bush admin as well, it was only when it became advantagous to them to turn him into a villain that he suddenly became a "brutal dictator".

Who would I compare him to? Hmm, probably noone directly, on a level of greatness i'd put him with JFK, Castro and William Wallace.

Great. As in, Hitler and Stalin were, "great".

An indisputable fact of history is that no matter how terrible a dictator is, no matter how brutal and cruel to his own people he is, there will ALWAYS be foreign educated people willing and ready to rationalize and excuse his behavior.

Hussein should have never F'ed with the Bush family.

"An indisputable fact of history is that no matter how terrible a dictator is, no matter how brutal and cruel to his own people he is, there will ALWAYS be foreign educated people willing and ready to rationalize and excuse his behavior. "

Foreign educated? You mean anyone not educated in Iraq? There are PLENTY of Iraqis who supported Saddam.

"Hussein should have never F'ed with the Bush family. "

And how exactly did he fuck with them?

Seems like they fucked with him, they even made up bullshit reasons to do so.

agreed helwig. If Sadamm would not have been so prideful he could have just followed teh rules and still be in power. Like letting this weapons inspectors ...inspect

How can you let a guy named "redneck" troll you? Jeebus people. Good one though.

"Iraq's national security adviser said: "He was a broken man... You could see fear in his face.""

Seems to be a consistent coward in my view, not to mention a genocidal murderer, obviously.

"Like letting this weapons inspectors ...inspect "

He did let them inspect, when they told the US he had no WMDs they refused to accept it and invaded anyway.

Well Atilda he is only human after all. Anyone would be like that...reflection on your life for about 2minutes waiting to get hung

I meant foreign, educated people. As in non Iraqi's who are educated enough to somehow dismiss his horrendous human rights violations and focus on what good he did. Suspiciously these types tend to be just a tad anti-US.

BTW from other articles:

"The former president recited the Muslim profession of faith "There is no God but God and Mohammed is his prophet""

Saddam is in a league of his own for killing muslims in this century. LOL @ him going to that well now!

"Human Rights Watch issued a statement claiming the "execution follows a flawed trial and marks a significant step away from the rule of law in Iraq"."

LOL where the F was human rights watch when Saddam was having whoever pissed him off murdered!?

"Iraq's national security adviser said: "He was a broken man... You could see fear in his face.""

The footage of him during the trial tells another story. He looked brave and defiant in the face of a kangaroo court that was hell bent on murdering him.

No, actually not all people are like that... but I can understand him fearing what might happen in the "afterlife" considering the hundreds of thousands of people he's killed, and he knows it.

"Saddam is in a league of his own for killing muslims in this century. LOL @ him going to that well now! "

Not true, more muslims have died in Iraq since the US invaded than in the entire time Saddam governed the people.
