RIP Shayne Stephenson

Friday, the Northeast MMA scene suffered a tremendous loss, as Shayne Stephenson tragically was taken from the world at the much too young age of 23.

Shayne was a regular of the Cage Titans promotion, logging seven of his nine amateur fights with the promotion. His most recent and sadly last fight took place for them in January. While you who dwell on records may take a look at his overall career mark and scoff, what truly can be said about Shayne is that no record can truly measure the heart he had, nor can it measure the amount of love he had for the sport as a whole. He was always willing to take a fight against anyone on any given notice. I can't begin to tell you how many times he bailed Cage Titans out of extremely tough spots in a pinch. You can't put a win or loss total on something like this, if you could Shayne Stephenson would be unbeaten and untouched.

While life often dealt him some shit hands, he certainly never let it show, always having a kind word to share or a smile to give when you saw him. He will be greatly missed and not forgotten anytime soon. God Bless you Shayne! Thanks for always giving it your everything in the cage and in life. Rest well my friend.
