Fedor Emelianenko against Antonio Silva would be epic. Looks like we'll find out who Fedor is going to fight very soon.

With less than a month to go until Fedor Emelianenko's long-awaited return to professional competition, rumors and reports continue to spread like wildfire, fueled by curious and frustrated fans determined to figure out the ‘Last Emperor's' New Year's Eve opponent.

The latest report comes from renowned Russian state-sponsored sport's media website Sportbox.ru, which claimed that Rizin Fighting Federation is interested in signing Antonio Silva to set up a rematch against Fedor.

According to the website's lead MMA writer, Ilya Buyaev, the promotion has already reached out to Bigfoot but it remains unclear whether he will be available to them in the near future.

The first contest between Fedor and Bigfoot took place on Feb. 12, 2011 and followed Fedor's stunning upset loss to Fabricio Werdum. The Russian heavyweight was tasked with beating another fighter bigger than him and failed to do so against Bigfoot.

Is his contract up? Or will they try to buy the UFC out? Not sure how it works. Phone Post 3.0

Well good for Bigfoot, he can juice up and be a raging monster to face Fedor Phone Post 3.0

This would be good for Big Foot. But is he out done with his contract? Phone Post 3.0

Oh please happen!

Contracts.. how do they work?

Why don't they do Mcsweeney vs Fedor? That fight would be exciting, he's a legit opponent but not un winnable by any means. Phone Post 3.0

I'm sure the UFC won't mind if a fighter under contract goes to a new, upstart MMA org and fights in the main event.

I sure don't see any negative repercussions for Bigfoot if he chooses to fight Fedor while under contract with the UFC.

No UFC fighter currently under contract will be fighting Fedor.

Nothing to suggest the contrary. He's only on a one loss skid and is still a legit top 10 opponent.

Why not Fedor V Vera? Phone Post 3.0

The first fight gutted me. Zero interest to see a replay. Needle, not moved. Phone Post 3.0

Knocked out 4 times in his last 6. I'm honestly not interested in seeing the guy fight anymore. I don't want to see him take any more damage.

Bigfoot is done.

I'm totally assuming. But I would think we'd hear about him becoming a free agent. Phone Post 3.0

orcus - Bigfoot is done.
There's been a big difference in performance since they took away his trt, which, it seems he actually needed due to his pituitary tumour.

Who knows what roidfest big foot would perform like? Phone Post 3.0

I honestly hope Bigfoot goes and fights with an organization that lets him juice.

Can't see how this would be possible Phone Post 3.0
