A lightweight match-up between Phillipe Nover and Rob Emerson is signed, sealed, and delivered for UFC 109 on Feb. 6 in Las Vegas.
MMAWeekly confirmed the news Tuesday from multiple sources close to the fight. The event and location have yet to be announced by the UFC.
Nover (9-2-1) has endured a rocky start to his UFC career since emerging from the eighth season of "The Ultimate Fighter." The Brooklyn native and former nurse lost to Efrain Escudero in the finals of the reality show and fell short at UFC 98 in May, losing to Kyle Bradley by first-round TKO.
Last month, Nover was forced to withdraw from a scheduled fight with Sam Stout just hours before showtime at UFC Fight Night 19 when he fainted backstage. He has since been medically cleared to fight.
Emerson (17-8-1) has also hit hard times as of late, losing a second consecutive appearance to Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC 103 that reversed a two-fight win streak he earned in the wake of his appearance on the fifth season of "The Ultimate Fighter."
