Ruthless Robbie Lawler
Good for the Sport

WAT Lawler!
Tell me how a guy who doesnt deserve to be champ is good for the sport?
No doubt
Lawlers had a hell of a career
I'm interested to hear as well. How is Robbie Lawler's win good for MMA?
I don't know if it's good for the sport. But I like it that a guy that has been in the game for a long time and always puts on entertaining fights has made it to the top.
Hope he keeps the strap for a while

You think this win marks a change in how judges will score fights? They won't reward point fighters but rather the fighter who is attempting to finish the fight?
I had him winning 3 rounds (1,4,5) but thought for sure the judges would score it 49-46 for Hendricks. I was so happy that the wall n stall tactic wasn't rewarded.
And yes Robbie winning is good for the sport.
StrikingMMA - I'm guessing there is a Filipino angle here. :-)
lol
Was a big Robbie fan even before I found out we could be related
; )
More like a win for the old school mma fans and for a guy who turned it all around and persevered despite the odds. Very cool Cinderella type story and Robbies humbleness makes it that much more fulfilling.
I had it 1,4 & 5 as well but it coulda went either way.
If they reward guys gift decisions for attempting to stop the action why even watch the sport? Lawler deserved to win that title
OP is correct
Stalling should never be rewarded.
And robbie deserves it more than anyone IMO, grew up with the old school, got cut, fought his way back, found his swagger and then bam! ufc champ.
If only he'd won. This decision makes the sport a laughable.
IMHO holding someone against the fence with your head between their legs isn't what champions do.
