Following their fight at UFC 199, MIchael Bisping and Luke Rockhold went at each other in the post-fight press conference. The two argued back and forth most of the presser and weren't shy with the words, often using profanity to taunt each other.

Rockhold today posted on Instagram were he talked about the fight, Bisping's actions immediately following, and explain his behavior at the post-fight press conference:

I love the fight game and all that it offers. It's a chaotic world we live in but the reward far outweighs risk. Allowing the pressure of the situation get to me, I felt the need to preform and make a statement as opposed to staying calculated and winning the fight. I underestimated my opponent and paid for it. Forcing a fight that was unlike me, which left the door open. Credit to Micheal for being the tough guy that he is and capitalizing on the situation. Verbal warfare and fight hype is one thing, but that moment following the outcome of a fight is where a man's true character shines. After our first fight I picked him up off the canvas and gave him his due respect. Bisping went out of his way to come across the cage not to shake my hand like a man but to further mock the situation. I felt it was a classless move on his part. Thus the reason I was so pissed off at the press conference. I don't believe in kicking a man while he's down. I've been here before and I've always learned and grew from these situations. This will be no different. I will go home, heal up, and come back better than ever before. Bisping, I will see you real soon and I will finish this.

I'm no fan of Luke and am enjoying this whole Bisping fiasco, but just to be fair after Luke finished him last spring the first thing he did was extend a hand to bury the hatchet Phone Post 3.0

My recollection is that is exactly what Lisping did.

I am losing huge respect for Rockhold, he has sour grapes and is showing no class here. Phone Post 3.0

The problem for luke is that his disrespect and disregard for bisping wasn't just before the fight or after the fight but it very arguably occured during the fight itself. http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2016/6/5/11860742/ufc-199-rockhold--underestimated-bisping-i-just-didnt-see-him-having-anything

To his opponent and to paying fans hoping to see the best from both, that's equally as disrespectful as anything Bisping may have done after the fight imo.

^ Oh, God... Phone Post 3.0

The term class is thrown out far too loosely in MMA. Bisping calls him a fucking faggot, Rockhold threats to kill him, and numerous others taunts, threats, slurs, from both sides. There is zero class or respect in this thing. The continued back and forth is nothing more than par for the course. And rightfully so, these are cage fighters, not sportsmen.

Yeah I can't remember rockhold saying anything bad about Bisping after the first fight. Definitely didn't repeatedly bring it up and rub it in bispings face every chance he got. Phone Post 3.0

Bisping screamed "Fuck you" to Rockhold from the cage top. He also probably said something like do you even know where you are right now. But during the press conference he tried several times to make up for it and compliments Luke and bury the hatchet.

Luke certainly didn't make himself look good in that press conference. Phone Post 3.0

Vote up for you pal.

Can't be an arrogant, dilusional guy then get knocked out, then look to take the high ground.

Rockhold disrespected the sport, the middleweight championship, his supporters, his team, his employer and more importantly himself for his in fight treatment of Bisping.

Bisping seized his opportunity beautiful and much to love to him but on no planet or dimension did anyone foreshadow Rockhold losing.

Luke Rockhold will forever be haunted by this disgusting performance no matter how many times he becomes champion. Phone Post 3.0
You do realize several people called Bisping to win this fight? In my pre-fight podcast I had Bisping winning this fight, as did a few other people. ( although I did not guess first round knockout ). Phone Post 3.0

Guy talks shit for weeks put to fight.

Fights and does so half ass cause he thinks you are beneath him.

Guy gets KO'ed.

I don't know about others. But after weeks /longer of hate. It doesn't end .01 seconds after I win.

If I'm lucky. It's at least a few mins.

So you reap what you sow. And after The Count was being cool. You accept.

But getting angry over a guy who you talked mad shit about, beating you. = bitch move. Phone Post 3.0

Rockhold deserves to be spoken to like the fucking chooch he is.

If after all those fights and the long road it takes to become a champion you can still go into a title fight completely disrespecting and underestimating your opponents skills, well that will
always say more about Luke than it will Bisping.

Simply, he got beat because he fucking deserved to get beat and he got spoken to by Bisping that way because he deserved to be spoken to like that.

End of fucking story Rockhold.

Now go cry into DCs arms or whatever sloot millionaire matchmaker sets you up with and stfu until you respect the sport, your opponents and most of all yourself! Phone Post 3.0

Vitor moved out. Bisping, belt included, is living tent free in Luke's head. Phone Post 3.0

He has a point, but neither he nor Bisping is entirely right in his actions. Phone Post 3.0

They're both douchebags of the highest order. It just so happens that Bisping has become a douchebag that everyone likes.

Can't wait for the trilogy to end.

Reddit had the video of end of each fight, I lol'd Phone Post 3.0
