Life Magazine has produced some of the most beautiful images throughout history, and I am grateful for the collection I have archived. The black and white photography of that era is incredibly telling and I for one can stare at these pics for hours, taking in several details from the images background and just absorbing and sharing the moment. Hats off to the photographers at Life Magazine!

OveREEMed A New Butthole - Awesome!
It's very interesting how "average" pro athletes looked before the steroid and supplement days.
Today a runner looks more muscular than Rocky did.
RIP.
A guy with the natural musculature of Marciano who trained down to a low walking weight would be a 230 pound monster who punched holes through people in today's "vitamin rich" era.

You're welcome. After yet another snoozer from Klitschko I figured it was time to share some of the images I had archived of somne of the truly great heavyweight champions of yesteryear.
What is really evident here is just how beautiful the photography of Life Magazine is, and the candid life shots which are rarely seen are absolutely stunning. You just don't get the captivating black and white photography like this anymore.
Good stuff :)
Incredible photos! Very cool
A legend.
I love it that people (I mean men) used to go see boxing dressed in suits and ties.
Ice Cubes on Kiriks Nipples - great fighter but the era and mob influence he had helped him greatly.lol!! you do know that marciano never touched a weight and looked like he was made of concrete. he came from behind to win on several occasions. he only has the brawler rep because how solid the fundamental of guys were then. he would look like a master boxer in this era. trained to go a hard 15 rounds. the mob influence wasn't helping him when top guys like charles and walcott were trying to take his head off. 1988 tyson has the advantage. tyson who went the distance with tucker and bonecrusher smith and the tyson who got out gutted by evander doesn't
