Donnie Liles has the distinction of being one of the very few undefeated athletes in the sport. He is currently 13-0 and has gone 3-0 since turning professional. Liles is the epitome of a MMA athlete, having a solid foundation in all aspects of the sport. He is not the most technical grappler, wrestler or striker, but is strong enough in each discipline to be a fierce competitor at any level. Alonso Martinez hails from Irving, Texas and is a BJJ stylist. His combined pro and amateur record is 13-5. He has a victory over one the ROF promotions toughest fighters, Luke Caudillo. Martinez was also a state champion wrestler his senior year, and finished top 3 in his freshman, sophomore and junior years. Martinez normally fights in the 155 lb division so weight could be a factor in this fight. Liles should be the physically stronger fighter, but one could argue that Martinez has the more technical background.
