justin wren has almost certainly never trained in the gi.
Honestly I would buy it to support it if it was a cooler looking gi.
higherprimate718 - justin wren has almost certainly never trained in the gi.Justin does indeed train in the gi. You can ask him about it if you'd like.

is this like a #blacklivesmatter gi?
higherprimate718 - justin wren has almost certainly never trained in the gi.I think the gentleman than started this thread had something to do with the design of the gi, if I am not mistaken... That being said, I'm not super pumped about the aesthetics of the gi as much as I am stoked about the idea behind it!

My generous side wants to contribute to such a solid cause, and my selfish side wants "something in it for me", I guess, so this was a perfect opportunity in my opinion. Like I mentioned before, I'm a huge fan of the Inverted Gear folks, so that should tell you how vanilla I like my gi. I'd actually consider the FF gi a little too "loud" for me. Nonetheless, I'm happy to help and I'll be happy to rock it to practice as a little daily reminder to myself. :)

VU man.
We wanted a gi that reflected Justin's passion for these people in the Congo on the inside, but in a minimalist way on the outside, and using the color schemes of the Congolese flag. It may not have skulls or Chinese characters or tribal patterns on it. But it represents the mission of FFTF and what they are doing for these people completely. A gi with a genuine story to tell and that literally honors individuals by name who believe they are among the "forgotten."
