I got a crown on my back upper molar today and the dentist said it would be about 2 weeks before the permanent crown was in. I'm not taking 2 weeks off. The assistant said it probably wasn't a good idea to do jiujitsu with the temp crown, but if it falls off i can glue it back on with dental cement.
Any opinions or experiences from you guys?
it'll most likely be fine as long as you dont wear a mouthguard. the guard could pull it off when you take it out.
I wouldn't roll with a mouth guard. It may pull it off. I rolled pretty hard on 2 temporary crowns last year and was fine. I was a little extra mindful of who I rolled with and I tried to roll with mostly other high belts or lower belts I trusted. I think you'll be good as long as you're mindful.

I cut off the back part of my mouthguard so it doesn't touch the crown. I've been hit too many times in the face lately for me to feel comfortable rolling without a mouthguard. I think it should be fine.
I get to have my other upper molar pulled tomorrow. That will be fun.

If you get hit in the face so much that you MUST wear a mouthpiece you may want to take time off. Also maybe take a look at who you are rolling with causing the mouthpiece concern. Just my two cents
