Saturday night's Derek Brunson vs. Rony Markes fight has been canceled after Markes was involved in a car accident Friday morning in Brazil.
The UFC on FUEL TV 10 middleweight fight was scrapped later in the day after Markes was determined unfit to fight, UFC president Dana White confirmed with MMAFighting.com.
According to White, Markes suffered a concussion in the car accident and also injured his back and neck. White also confirmed that both fighters will receive their show money.
As a result, 12 fights will now take place on Saturday night's card in Fortaleza, Brazil.
FUEL TV will have an update on Markes' condition during its weigh-in show at 3 p.m. ET.
