He was winning that fight with Robbie until his nose was just too fucked up to go on. I think he'll be fine.

No fucking way it plays out like that. Woodley is so far behind in every aspect of the stand up game compared to Thompson, also much smaller in terms of height and reach.Rory is never aggressive, everything is calculated, which won't work against Thompson, because he will pick Rory apart. It's vital that Rory takes this fight down, and IS aggressive for once.
Pressure doesn't mean just throwing often, RM was very close to Woodley in range and maintained that range while threatening. Rory was pressuring Woodley while not overextending himself. Same example in the Lawler fight, Rory was just outside the pocket for a good portion of the fight. Rory wasn't pressuring comparably to the Woodley fight but it is relative in approach.
I think WB's side stance will make takedowns harder to achieve and Rory's takedowns have to be used like a counter to WB springing in to attack.
I think Rory's stance relative to WB's as WB bounces, moves and switches stance is crucial to victory also. I don't know all the nuances of stances but Rory can't line himself up with too many of those lead leg kicks.
How Rory closes the gap that WB at times seems to maintain between himself and the opponent will also be valuable and interesting to see on fight night.

I want to see RM return to form, the good thing is he was brought down moreso by damage to his nose than actual KO so I hope he didn't get a concussion and is OK.

Lol I got rory in that fight all day, wonderboy will have his flashy moments, but that is all.
Of course I've got no idea what truly goes on in his head, but listening to his interview on the MMA Hour, I thought he sounded mentally strong and in a good head space.
He's also fighting with a chip on his shoulder about his pay situation and has a kid on the way he knows he needs to provide for.
The only possible downside was he said his focus has changed from when he was 100% about the belt to now wanting to make cash. Hope that doesn't translate to sacrificing certain things to up the excitement factor.

I'm worried about Rory as well. Just the beating that he got from that fight was insane. But then again, his fight against Condit was pretty brutal as well and he came back fine from that.
