Ronda Rousey is one of MMA's biggest stars and her championship belt is the most important thing in the world, even worth dying for:

“I can tell that this title is not as important to her as it is to me,” Rousey said. “She has a kid at home, and she has to go home to that kid. I can afford to be selfish, where she can’t. I’m willing to die in there, and she can’t.”

“On paper, she’s an amazing athlete, and athletically you could say we’re very close to equals, and that’s why people are so excited about this fight,” Rousey told USA TODAY Sports. “But I think that I’m more of a fighter than she is.”

This.

That's idiotic. So your life is defined by that belt and some money...

To the Death Ronda Phone Post 3.0

it's a shame those kids are protecting McMann from certain death in the barbaric suicide pit of the Octagon, granted there are medical personnel nearby and a ref trained to end fights before a combatant is in any real danger, nonetheless McMann is lucky her children are protecting her from almost positively having her life ended Phone Post 3.0

I just hope Ronda doesn't make a mistake, this is like Russian Roulette, thankfully she is favored to win, probably a less that 50% chance she will be mortally injured on live television screaming her way past St. Peter and to the place reserved for her in the afterlife Phone Post 3.0

being willing to die in a fighting competition sounds pretty stupid of someone

Lol... Ok Ronda. Phone Post 3.0

Shes mean, she's nasty and she's the hugest star in our sport.

Agreed... You're not willing to die, cut the bullshit. This is almost a funny when someone says "I want a 3(or5) round war", no you don't... If you can finish the fight inside of the first minute you're going to. Phone Post 3.0

Well what if Sarah is in a neck crank and doesn't want to tap. The medic can't do anything if her neck gets broken from not tapping right? Phone Post 3.0
That's a good point, please God let Ronda practice neck crank defense. Maybe if she had children she would have trained harder. It's not a surprise this organized euthanasia isn't sanctioned in New York. Phone Post 3.0

lol at willing to die in the ufc. Definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed! Haha Phone Post 3.0

I agree not enough death matches. They would be worth it just to hear Rogan yell "Finish him!" and Buffer yell "Fatality"

like if you even got a bonus for death how could you even spend it being dead and its not like you have children to leave the death bonus too, and the contract probably only states the fighters name so its non applicable or payable to the kids.

I get the sense that your amusement of her mindframe - the fact that she is willing to stop at no ends is why she is where she is, and you are.....you.

Then again, i could be wrong.

She's not going to die, maybe she's not really willing to die, but if she has herself fooled for half an hour it's an advantage. Ronda is pretty crazy but it's the right kind of crazy for winning fights. Phone Post 3.0
