                    <blockquote>

“When they [UFC] brought in the guys from WEC they gave (featherweight champion) Jose Aldo and (bantamweight champion) Dominick Cruz their belts,” Rousey told ESPN.com. “They did that to me as well when they brought the women’s division over. But I don’t feel like I’ve really earned it.

“When [UFC president] Dana [White] gave me the belt I told him I didn’t want it, I wanted to fight for it. But he said, ‘I’m going to give it to you anyway and you can think whatever you want.’”

“I’m prepared for everything,” Rousey said. “I train to be a mixed martial artist, not to be an arm-bar specialist. I train to be prepared for the worst-case scenario.

“The first round actually was always my worst. I used to call it first-round-itis when I was doing judo.

“It’s so funny to hear all these girls say, ‘if I get her out of the first round I’m going to see the defeat in her eyes.’ I’m like, ‘dude, I’m just opening up. You don’t want to see what the second round looks like.’”

Nice.

One of the first things I've heard her say that isn't annoying

This

I kind of agree with her, but don't agree about Cruz and Aldo being given their belts.

The WEC FW, and BW divisions essentially became the UFC FW and BW divisions after the last Wec event, and they both fought for UFC titles once the new divisions were decided, Aldo at WEC 51, and Cruz at 53.

"I train to be a mixed martial artist, not to be an arm-bar specialist."

Right. And Nick Diaz doesn't get paid.

What does this even mean.. it doesn't make sense.

So she doesn't train to be a mmmartist?

She's got 6 fights and 6 armbars, her modus operandi is the same every time... hip toss/inside leg trip/jockey for position/armbar/repeat ad infinitum... yet she says she's not training to be an armbar specialist.

Snake28 - Man I can't stand this broad lol Phone Post

Me either, I've stopped reading articles and threads about her a while ago. I thought this one would be tolerable, it wasn't. Phone Post

This is what happens when the beer-tub chick learns arm-bars.

yeah its not like she had combat sport credentials before she started training for mma.

they took her straight from the beer tub to the cage, armbars must have came naturally.

get the fuck out of here.

IKR?

It's not like she was in the Olympics...

A large pepperoni pizza says even after UFC 157, we still get 15 more Rousey threads within a week.

so she wants to earn it against a fighter whos payin +800 for the win.. interesting. Phone Post

And thats not the case with W135 and Rousey? Phone Post
