Rowing machine or vertical climber?

I have been considering getting a rowing machine something like these, https://www2.concept2.com/VIA/index.jsp?RefAgent=IND for while mainly due to the fact that I can't jog more than a few miles every couple days due to a knee and foot injury.

Then I came across an ad for a vertical climber and it's actually cheaper, http://www.steelclimber.com/buy.html .

Anyone in the know on these and which would be better suited for building cardio for MMA training? Thanks for any info

i've used a similar rowing machine before, but not the Steelclimber.

i think the climber would be an awesome workout, but i wonder how long you can do that before exhaustion. the rower might be easier to use, since you can pace yourself or go all-out.

I have a concept2 rower and love it.. Although I have never tried a versatile climber Phone Post

Does the climber have adjustable resistance? If so it will be much more useful than a rower.

I love warming up on the concept 2. No idea about that climber, but in general they're awesome.

Man the Versa climber at my gym murders me! Phone Post

 Concept2. Hands down.

I'm leaning towards the rower, thanks for input.

MIsoldier - Both are badass conditioning tools. But I would go with the Versaclimber.

Try doing the Versaclimber with a weighted vest on. You will probably be puking.

I gagged just thinking about it...

Rower.

The topic was 10 years old and I don’t know many of you may be not in this world alive. But for the new peoples are found of exercise machines I suggest you to visit the line to get a better idea about Vertical Climber vs Rowing machine.
