I think she is making all of the right moves.
I contacted her years ago and begged her to get a good strength and conditioning coach. Begged.
Also, she stopped doing that Japanese women’s MMA footwork of bouncing around, moving without purpose and punching in the air.
I know she doesn’t like to expose it, but she is an attractive woman. Just as attractive as any of the top fighters. With proper make up and she would get enough sponsors to take her into retirement.
Yet…she has a niche. One that is truly only hers. The Nerd population. She plays that extremely because that is who she really is. She’s not being something she not. If the UFC backed her or if she had savvy management, she could get some good video games sponsors like Mighty Mouse did.
I really like her.

I can not speak for Roxy but for myself I have been given advice many times to change my look. Whenever I have followed that advice I would look in the mirror and it would not be me. People told me for years to grow a beard but it took me several years before I was ok with how it looked.
That said she does change it up sometimes

her twitter is filled with different workouts her strength trainer has her doing. I am sure she misses MMA practice but realistically speaking she is already more skilled than the vast majority of her division, I think this break from MMA stuff that is forcing her to focus on strength training is a blessing in disguise, she is going to surprise some people her next fight.

I was indifferent about that until she started making excuses about why she lost.
Gotta love her. She seems like a genuinely good person, doing what she wants to do.

Amen to that. That post fight interview take over was bullshit though. Roxy damn well deserved every second of that spotlight. Maycee came off way worse than if she would have taken her loss like a humble professional.

Not really a fan of WMMA in general, but I do like Roxy more than any other WMMA fighter. She just comes across as more real and fun, while the others come across more labored and obnoxious.
She surprised me in her last fight. I look forward to seeing her challenging herself again.

Strength and power is what she always lacked imo. She could really turn a new leaf. She looked great in the Maycee fight and I hate that it’s a tainted win like she was gifted it. Nah she was winning that fight before the injury.
I hope she blossoms and gets a lot of great paydays. She certainly deserves it. Great girl, great attitude.
