Any opinions? Been thinking about putting some cash aside to try my first BJJ lessons but price seems pretty steep.
Price?
They don't list price on the website anymore, but when I had priced it earlier it came out to about $300 for 3 months, plus I would need a gi or two.
$100/ month isn't bad at all. You can buy a cheap judo Gi to train in also.
Nothing but respek for Mr. Roy Dean
I'm a member of a Roy Dean affiliate from the UK and I had the chance of being part of a BJJ class that was taught by Roy in my 1st month.
Roy's way of teaching and explaining techniques is superb. He has an inner peace about him that is truly humbling. I feel that you would not regret becoming part of the Roy Dean Academy. Your investment would be worthwhile. Can't wait for him to come back to the UK later this year.
Roy dean is a true martial artist. This is especially important in an era where it feels like bjj is more a sport than anything else. I would be fucking thrilled to learn under him
$100/mo for high level training sounds cheap as hell to me.

$100/month is cheap for average level training these days.

That is not expensive. Roy is an excellent martial artist. Go check it out.
Wasn't sure what to make of the traditional martial arts tone, didn't want to stumble into a McDojo. Seems this couldn't be further from truth, looks like they are really sincere about technique and the TMA atmosphere. Found this cool video while researching of Roy Dean vs Nick Diaz at US open 2001 that might have sold me.
